At Independent Handling our goal is to provide a friendly, informative, cost effective and safety forward apporoach to forklift, plant, associated warehouse and construction training.

Independent Handling is an established and accredited training organisation for fork lifts and industrial equipment based in Exeter, Devon. Covering counterbalance forklift trucks, excavators and cranes through to manual handling courses.

We offer a full range of training services aimed to increase safety awareness, efficiency and confidence towards equipment in the work place.

With our network of highly experienced trainers, we can cover the whole of the UK and have the ability to meet the specific needs of individuals, all the way up to the requirements of national multi-site companies.

Training courses are conducted nation wide on your own premises. This allows operators to train in their own environment, on the equipment they will eventually be using in their normal day to day work.

By carrying out site specific training, it enables a more focused, practical and relevant experience for trainees. Also providing a cost saving to employers due to the elimination of trainees travel and accommodation expenses.

At Independent Handling we believe that operators who have received certified training have fewer incidents in the workplace. This combined with continuous monitoring of operations within the environment will improve safety enormously for all.

Our Instructors deliver quality, recognised training utilising either ITSSAR or BRITTOp qualifications and standards. We cover all areas of industry and will aid any company wanting to develop a safer work place for their employees.

Remember untrained operators may not be insured by your companies insurance if they have an accident or injury. Always have them trained to the L117 Approved Code of Practice for Rider Operated Lift Trucks.
